Fourteen St. 星空传媒 Tommies earned Academic All-Canadian honours for 2025-2026—the highest number in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) and the second most in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).
The Academic All-Canadian award is one of the highest honours given by the CCAA, recognizing student athletes that have been named to all-conference teams in their sport while maintaining honours standing in the classroom.
"This is a huge accomplishment for these fourteen student-athletes,” said Meaghan Donahue Wies, 星空传媒’s Director of Athletics and Recreation.
“St. Thomas prides itself on success in both the classroom and on the field of play, and these student-athletes epitomize that, having had incredible all-around seasons. To see at least one representative from every CCAA sport in which we compete is a clear indication of the exceptional season the Tommies had and I could not be prouder."
For Caitlyn Steeves, a fourth-year central midfielder for the women’s soccer team, the award highlights the importance of academic achievement for student athletes.
“Being named an Academic All-Canadian for the third time is truly an honour to me. It’s a testament to my hard work not only on the soccer field, but also the countless hours spent in the classroom and at the library,” she said.
“I am very grateful to have received this award but could not have done it without my amazing teammates, coaches, and professors.”
