Accelerated Bachelor of Arts: Three-Year Pathway to a Four-Year Degree

St. Ðǿմ«Ã½ offers a Bachelor of Arts Three-Year Pathway with dedicated student supports that allows students to complete a four-year, 120 credit-hour program in three years.

Program Breakdown

The Bachelor of Arts Three-Year Pathway offers students the opportunity to complete the four-year Bachelor of Arts in three years of intensive study. Students will follow a nine-semester schedule that maximizes the Fall/Winter terms plus Intersession and Summer Session semesters.

Students completing the Three-Year Pathway will complete the same number of credit hours as a typical four-year program, but in three years.

Students who begin their Three-Year Pathway in September will complete their degree in July of their third year.

Program Support and Advising

Students planning to pursue the Three-Year Pathway will require regular meetings with a Student Success Advisor.

By the end of February of year one, a student will meet with a Student Success Advisor to:

(1) develop a Program Completion Plan;
(2) declare their intention to graduate within three years; and
(3) declare their major.

Students will take one overload course in each semester in years 2 and 3, provided they maintain a minimum GPA of 2.7. Typically, students will be enrolled in required courses for their major during Fall and Winter semesters. Intersession and Summer Session courses would likely be electives.

Please Note:

Majors: While it is possible to complete most of the offered majors at Ðǿմ«Ã½ in the Three-Year Pathway, there will be some exceptions due to the condensed timeline.

Honours
: While a three-year degree is not compatible with an Honour’s program, there may be the possibility of completing an equivalent to an Honours in some disciplines with an additional year of study.

Scholarships
: If you hold a scholarship from St. Ðǿմ«Ã½, it is important that you discuss your options for using scholarship funds for a Three-Year Pathway with the Registrar's Office.
