Stephanie GauvinDEAR FUTURE ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½DENT,

My name is Stephanie Gauvin, and I am originally from Dieppe, N.B. I graduated from St. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, Class of 2022, with honours in Economics and a double minor in Anthropology and Spanish.

 

After ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, I completed a Master of Science in Public Policy at the University of Bristol and currently work for Hardisty & Jones in Bristol, UK, a local economic development consultancy.

 

I chose to study at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ because I wanted the flexibility to explore my interests. Without that flexibility, I wouldn’t have discovered my passion for economics.

 

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ prepared me for my future by:

 

  • Helping me develop rigorous academic and analytical skills
  • Helping me develop critical thinking skills
  • Encouraging me to be inquisitive

With French being my first language, starting at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ was a big adjustment. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ services like the Writing Centre helped me strengthen my skills, which enabled me to excel in my academic career both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

 

I’m proud to be a ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ alumna. The quality of education I received enabled me to develop the academic tools required to further my studies and advance in my career.
