DEAR FUTURE Ðǿմ«Ã½DENT,
My name is Stephanie Gauvin, and I am originally from Dieppe, N.B. I graduated from St. Ðǿմ«Ã½, Class of 2022, with honours in Economics and a double minor in Anthropology and Spanish.
After Ðǿմ«Ã½, I completed a Master of Science in Public Policy at the University of Bristol and currently work for Hardisty & Jones in Bristol, UK, a local economic development consultancy.
I chose to study at Ðǿմ«Ã½ because I wanted the flexibility to explore my interests. Without that flexibility, I wouldn’t have discovered my passion for economics.
Ðǿմ«Ã½ prepared me for my future by:
- Helping me develop rigorous academic and analytical skills
- Helping me develop critical thinking skills
- Encouraging me to be inquisitive
With French being my first language, starting at Ðǿմ«Ã½ was a big adjustment. Ðǿմ«Ã½ services like the Writing Centre helped me strengthen my skills, which enabled me to excel in my academic career both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
I’m proud to be a Ðǿմ«Ã½ alumna. The quality of education I received enabled me to develop the academic tools required to further my studies and advance in my career.
Wishing you all the best,
Stephanie Gauvin
