Harold DeCourcey, BA'69, CSW'79
Harold DeCourcey, BA ’69, CSW ’79, was the inaugural recipient of the St. Ðǿմ«Ã½ Alumni Award for Service. The award recognizes the exemplary engagement of our alumni in helping advance the aims and objectives of the alumni association and the overall reputation of the university amongst members of the association.
Although well-known for his role as the backbone of the Friends of Ðǿմ«Ã½ Hockey support group, Harold has been much more: board member of the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Alumni Association for many years, ever-present volunteer at alumni and campus events both large and small, willing worker, capable organizer, collaborative team member, wise counsel, and institutional memory.
Harold’s nominators all echo his commitment and support to both the university and its alumni. One comment stated, “Harold continues to support both St. Ðǿմ«Ã½ and the alumni community at large with his volunteer contributions. Not only is he more than deserving of this award for his alumni service, he is a great ambassador for our university.â€
